Our Sea Moss is grown naturally in protected coastal waters maintained by the St Lucia National Trust (SNT) and harvested by small scale Sea Moss farmers who are experts in their field. These farmers work closely with the Government to adhere to positive sustainability practices. The Purple Sea Moss is dried in a dark room to preserve its rich purple colour and then carefully sorted, before being packaged and prepared for shipment.
Each shipment is quality-checked and approved by the St Lucia Ministry of Agriculture and provided with a phytosanitary certificate. This certifies that our Sea Moss has been officially inspected and meets all required plant health standards.
In the UK our Sea Moss goes through extensive third-party lab testing to ensure its safety and the absence of heavy metals. Both certificates are available upon request.

How to prepare Sea Moss Gel
1. Wash the Sea Moss thoroughly to rinse away any salt.
2. Once cleaned, place in a large bowl or container and soak in distilled or spring water with a squeeze of lime for 6-12 (or overnight if preferred).
3. Once soaked, drain the water. You will see it has become translucent, and should have expanded in size.
4. Place Sea Moss into a high powered blender and cover with distilled or spring water. Blend until it thickens and forms a gel consistency, add more water if needed.
5. Pour into a glass jar with a tight lid and refrigerate. The gel will solidify soon afterwards. Use within 2-3 weeks.
